Engaging in a complex 5-year project combining 24-hour Manned Security and CCTV Remote Monitoring presented significant challenges. Collaborating with multiple lead contractors across different project phases posed a major challenge, requiring our team to consistently brief new management and operational personnel to ensure operational efficiency and high-security standards. The site’s vast physical area and constant activity from contractors, the design team, suppliers, and visitors presented additional challenges, demanding effective solutions for site management, monitoring, and security.
Solution
To address these challenges, we implemented our SmartTask technologies, which offered detailed real-time reporting of all on-site activities. This included the establishment of mutually agreed waypoints along the perimeter and key inspection points throughout the site. These reports served as the foundation for establishing, monitoring, and managing a series of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) against which our personnel and services were assessed. Throughout the project’s duration, we consistently met and even exceeded the standards expected by project stakeholders.
These reports were made available to both our client and contractors, providing vital information about the controlled movement of personnel, plant, and materials. This data played a crucial role in making key operational decisions, such as escorting specific contract elements to ensure compliance with safety and security standards.
CCTV Remote Monitoring was integrated into our services to provide additional layers of reassurance and comfort to project stakeholders during critical phases of the project. This additional technology delivered an enhanced degree of surveillance and responsiveness, whilst offer our clients cost savings, and cost certainty, and mitigating both potential Lone Worker and Health & Safety risks.
